Strangford B V Owenbeg A Played 5th

In the second contest of the week Owenbeg were always going to be too strong for an improving Strangford team who despite the result demonstrated in all their matches their enjoyment of the sport and can be pleased with their individual performances. Peter Madine who is improving with every game he plays was unlucky not to have taken the first two games before losing in 4 to Hugh Scott. Nuala Hynds another player who is now a regular in side can be pleased with her point total against the double title holder Pat Mulholland before losing in straight games and the affable Michael Deery also scored well in his match with Jason Gill. The match concluded as expected with a comfortable win for Owenbeg. The Lecale League committee would like to wish all its member and players a very happy Christmas and New Year.
