League Update

Strangford A has won the League title and although there are still a few standing matches still to be played the result of which will not change the current position. In order to allow for this the handicap competition will not start until week commencing the 10th of March. Fixtures will be posted on the Lecale League WhatsApp page and on the Leagues Blog. Regrettably Owenbeg A is not in a position to field a team for this competition so we are reduced to 7 teams which will create a bye. The competition will be played on a knockout basis which will hopefully be concluded by the end of March allowing for the enviable catch up. The latter stages of Leagues are always a busy time for clubs so we have decided postpone the bat and chat competition until the end of the season when players and the preferred venue will be more available. The charity competition to raise funds for Marie Curie Hospice will be held at Strangford table tennis club which will also incorporate the Individual championship and other awards which we usually hold competitions for.
