Owenbeg B 3 Owenbeg A 7

Amongst the spectators was the League secretary who was entertained to excellent play close matches from both teams in a good humoured encounter with is usually the case when team from the same club are involved. The A team got off to a good start with the inform Hugh Scott attacking prowess too much on this occasion for Dan McEvoy winning in straight games. John McEvoy who also improves with every game he plays lost a 4 game encounter with Pat Mulholland that could have gone the distance and at the end only 4 points separated the score line. The third member of the McEvoy team the talented Manus again lost a close 4 game match with another improving player Jason Gill that also could have gone the distance. The A team made it 4 with another 4 game winning margin in the doubles match with Pat Mulholland making it 5 for the A team over Dan McEvoy. But the B team were determined to get some something for their efforts with John McEvoy 4 game winning margin got the home team first winning score on the card. But despite a gallant effort from Manus McEvoy he was unable to prevent Hugh Scott securing the points for the A team. But in the in the remaining matches Dan McEvoy put the first score on the card for his team with a 4 game win over Jason Gill the A team followed by brother John McEvoy in what was probably his best win of the season coming from two sets down to clinch victory in 5 set attacking encounter Hugh
