Joe McConville maintained his unbeaten record with a similar winning margin over Sean Poland and in a close 5 game match John McCusker in his first match for the season got home in a 5 game nip and tuck match with Terry Murphy. Colin McKinty and Joe McConville both won their next round of matches against Sean and Terry for a 4-1 lead before Jim Mills pulled one back for St John’s with a 4-1 win over John Mc Cusker. But Strangford wrapped up the points winning the last 3 singles of the night. Strangford B 1v St Johns 9 Strangford B playing their second match for the week rotated their squad for this match for this lively encounter and against more experience players and can be pleased with their overall team performance. Marion Rooney got the ball rolling for Strangford putting respectable scores on the card losing in straight games. Cormac O Reilly always ready for competitive play when the club needs him also scored well against Brendan McGrillen before Rory McSwiggan pulled one back for the his team in his match with Brian Curran.
