The Lecale table tennis league in association with Table Tennis Ulster are launching a new initiative to support existing Bat and Chat groups in the Newry Mourne and Down district council area. Like most sports table tennis offers surprisingly great health benefits like great mind-body stimulation, aerobic exercise, and social interaction. Sessions usually involve a combination of free and competitive play whilst incorporating breaks for social interaction. By invitation a qualified coach will visit your club to provide support and advice on equipment and play techniques. While there are a number of organisations who are already running Bat and Chat groups the Lecale League are keen to encourage competitive association with other groups within the Council District and encourage the pathway to League competitive play.. The Lecale League is planning to hold a Bat & Chat social table tennis competition at a central location in the near future.
