LECALE LEAGUE 'S 70TH SEASON

 

The Lecale Table Tennis League has unveiled exciting plans for its milestone 70th season. In order to encourage more club players to participate competitively, this season’s league programme will comprise of 2 divisions with a 4 player, where each match will include 8 singles games and 2 doubles games. The league programme is scheduled to start in the week beginning Monday the 28th of September.  

 League Secretary Jim Ritchie said that the League Committee believe that there are now sufficient numbers playing table tennis in our member clubs to move to a four player team format which will allow more players of various standards to enjoy the sport. The previous league structure of 3 player teams may have reduced opportunities for some players to experience regular competitive table tennis.
