Busy night at Strangford table tennis club

This lively encounter at the home of the oldest club in the League was another never in doubt result with a strong the A team which included the Legend Joe Mc Conville with the experienced Colin Mc Kinty and John Mc Cusker in the lineout But it also gave the club the B team rotational squad of players the opportunity of competitive play. Peter Madine the B team captain relished the opportunity of playing former League number one Joe Mc Conville in the first match of the night and can be pleased with the score line against such an experienced opponent. Cormac O Reilly who continues to show that age is no barrier to competitive sport did equally well against John Mc Cusker and did another debutant Rory Mc Swiggan in his match with Colin Mc Kinty. The B team continued to score well in the remainder of games and can be pleased with an overall 195 point total against formidable opponents. As the season progresses it won’t get any easier for Peter Madine’s squad but there ready for the challenge.
