Another social table tennis night at Ballydown

Banbridge A v Strangford B Brian Morrow has been a very steady influence which at the start of the season could be described as bat and chat players but as the season progressed and benefit from playing against more experienced opponents has helped improve their game but his opponent Peter Madine has also improved from regular practice and and should be pleased with his score in the opening game. Vignesh made it two with his time over a battling Michael Deery before Rory Mc Swiggin pulled one back with an excellent 4 game win over Ala. But Strangford continued to make their opponents work for their wins and should be pleased the scores they put on the card. Banbridge B team v Strangford B This match was a much more even affair and despite the inevitable result. Gary Smith got his side off to a winning start with a 4 set win over Peter Madine Ala made it two for Banbridge with Michael Deery still playing well in his 4th game of the night before Rory Mc Swiggan completed the double over Lorraine Smith a lady who really enjoys her table tennis. The home team played the next two games before Rory put another win on the card with his second win over ALa who was playing for both teams and Peter got his first win of the night. in a 3 game win over Lorraine. Strangford continued put scores on the card but was unable to prevent Banbridge from a double win. But Strangford made long journey home pleased with their team performance.
